I wrote my thesis in Psychology about “Experimenter-expectancy-effects based on Quantum Mechanics” – sounds more advanced than it is. But since then I am a great Enthusiast of QM.

In this space I want to have conversations and share facts about Quantum mechanics (QM) in simple understandable bits and bites for anyone – especially for people who have also not studied physics or mathematics (like myself).

Instead I wanna focus on the philosophical aspects of QM, but in a highly scientific manner. I have always been a holistic system thinker, interested in how “systems” work.

Everything is made from Quants therefore every science-form potentially shows quantum behaviour of some sort (to some extent). You can even find aspects of quantum theories in (Micro-)Biology, System Theory, Psychology, and even Buddhism, if you are very creative.

I have the pleasure of being friends with some Quantum-scientists like Marcus Reid @Quantum Power Munich. Every time we share a beer together I feel like my worldview is getting more and more completed and destroyed at the same time (in a dualistic way).

As I learn more about the quantum realm I want to share my understandings in my own words.

Quantum mechanics, isnt that like super complicated?

I get it, QM sounds intimidating.
“Things like that can only be understood by math geniuses” – I learned that in school.
When I asked my math teacher about the theory of relativity. He laughed at me and told me I would never understand it, so there is no point in explaining it to me.
Nowadays you’ll find hundreds of good videos on youtube explaining the theory from different perspectives. If you watch a few, one of the different explainations will eventually click.
And that applies to everything else.

Each of us thinks and visualizes differently, so many different perspectives on a topic, covering as many cognitive angles as possible makes understanding the bigger picture more likely.

But unfortunately, the topic of quantum mechanic is still held hostage by mathematicians and (particle) physicists. When those quantum scientists talk about QM, they often exclusively use language that can’t be understood by the everyday person.

I’ll be honest, formulas like this look really scary, if you have no backgroung in math.
(That is the Schrödinger equation by the way, which describes the wavefunction of a particle.)

But QM is not just all about numbers and graphs and complicated formulas.
One of my favorite books is Physics and Philosophy by Werner Heisenberg (one of the founders of quantum mechanics). There is hardly any math formulas in there.
